| Nov. 17 8:01 AM PT9:01 AM MT10:01 AM CT11:01 AM ET4:01 PM GMT12:01 AM 北京时间-Johnson has agreed to terms with the Cincinnati Bengals to be one of their backups, giving the AFC North leaders depth at the position, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press. Analysis: Johnson reached the contract agreement Tuesday, according to the person, speaking on condition of anonymity because the team had not made an announcement. The Bengals have to make a roster move to clear a spot for Johnson, who will be fourth on the depth chart at the outset. |

| Nov. 16 10:37 AM PT11:37 AM MT12:37 PM CT1:37 PM ET6:37 PM GMT2:37 AM 北京时间-Johnson is expected to visit the Bengals, who are interested in signing him as a backup only. Analysis: Coach Marvin Lewis says Johnson would be fourth on the team's depth chart at running back if he decides to try to revive his troubled career in Cincinnati. Kansas City released him a week ago, on the day he was due back following his second suspension in the last year. |

| Nov. 10 10:03 AM PT11:03 AM MT12:03 PM CT1:03 PM ET6:03 PM GMT2:03 AM 北京时间-Steelers coach Mike Tomlin isn't saying if the team has any interest in Johnson, the former Penn State running back who was released by the Kansas City Chiefs. Analysis: Johnson, who would like to play in Pittsburgh, was cut Monday after being suspended by Kansas City for the second time in a year. The Steelers have long stayed away from signing troubled players, and they appear to be set at running back with starter Rashard Mendenhall and backup Willie Parker. |

| Nov. 9 6:59 AM PT7:59 AM MT8:59 AM CT9:59 AM ET2:59 PM GMT10:59 PM 北京时间-The Kansas City Chiefs have told the agent for Johnson that they are releasing the troubled running back, with Johnson needing just 75 yards to breaking the team's career rushing mark. Analysis: Peter Schaffer told The Associated Press on Monday that he had just received a call from the Chiefs informing him of their decision. Johnson was due to come off a two-week suspension Monday. Johnson apparently caused the Chiefs to run out of patience after his latest brush with controversy. He questioned coach Todd Haley's credentials, insulted fans and used a gay slur on his twitter account two weeks ago. He then repeated the slur to reporters the next day. |

| Nov. 2 2:39 PM PT3:39 PM MT4:39 PM CT5:39 PM ET10:39 PM GMT6:39 AM 北京时间-The Kansas City Chiefs, apparently fearful of losing in arbitration, agreed Monday to cut Johnson's suspension in half for making gay slurs. Analysis: The agreement saved the running back about $315,000. The Chiefs issued a terse announcement saying they had made the settlement in conjunction with the NFL Management Council and the NFL Players Association. Originally, they suspended the former two-time Pro Bowler two weeks, which would have cost him about $330,000. |

| Oct. 30 12:51 PM PT1:51 PM MT2:51 PM CT3:51 PM ET8:51 PM GMT4:51 AM 北京时间-Johnson remained a member of the Kansas City Chiefs late Friday afternoon, but no one could say how much longer that might be the case. Analysis: Johnson's agent, Peter Schaffer, said there had been no progress in discussions with the team over the future of the suspended running back. Shortly after the Chiefs suspended their troubled running back Wednesday for two weeks, Schaffer said he had spoken with the players' union and would appeal. |

| Oct. 27 9:30 AM PT10:30 AM MT11:30 AM CT12:30 PM ET5:30 PM GMT1:30 AM 北京时间-The Chiefs have barred Johnson from team activities pending an investigation into his use of a homosexual slur this week. Analysis: Johnson, a two-time Pro Bowl running back for the Chiefs, apologized Tuesday to his team, fans and the NFL “for the words I used.” Johnson posted the slur on his Twitter account Sunday in a response to another tweet. On Monday, he said it again in refusing to talk with reporters, according to a recording made by the Kansas City Star. His representation has consulted with the Players Association about an appeal. |

| Oct. 26 9:24 AM PT10:24 AM MT11:24 AM CT12:24 PM ET5:24 PM GMT1:24 AM 北京时间-Johnson has belittled his rookie head coach on what appears to be his Twitter account, saying Todd Haley has 'nuthn' when it comes to NFL-quality credentials. Haley did not play high school or college football. He attended college on a golf scholarship. He was hired by first-year general manager Scott Pioli to replace the fired Herm Edwards. Analysis: The remarks were posted several hours after the 1-6 Chiefs were routed at home 37-7 by San Diego. One tweet read: 'My father got more creditentials than most of these pro coaches.' That is followed by: 'My father played for the coach from 'rememeber the titans'. Our coach played golf. My father played for redskins briefley. Our coach. Nuthn.' This incident could hasten Johnson's departure from the Chiefs. |

| Oct. 19 10:57 AM PT11:57 AM MT12:57 PM CT1:57 PM ET6:57 PM GMT2:57 AM 北京时间-Johnson rushed for a season-high 83 yards on 23 carries in Sunday's 14-6 win over Washington. He also matched another season high with three receptions for 12 yards. Analysis: Johnson has averaged 51.5 rushing yards per game and 62.0 yards overall. He's gained just 2.7 yards per carry, a career worst by nearly one yard. |
|
| Oct. 12 1:59 PM PT2:59 PM MT3:59 PM CT4:59 PM ET9:59 PM GMT5:59 AM 北京时间-Johnson was held to 37 yards on 21 carries in Kansas Cit's 26-20 overtime loss to Dallas on Sunday. Analysis: Kansas City hasn't given Johnson much room to run through. He's averaging 4.4 yards per carry for his career but just 2.4 this season. |
|
| Oct. 5 12:50 PM PT1:50 PM MT2:50 PM CT3:50 PM ET8:50 PM GMT4:50 AM 北京时间-Johnson ran for 53 yards on 18 attempts in Sunday's 27-16 loss to the Giants. Analysis: Johnson has rushed for just 189 yards on 72 carries for a 2.6-yard average on the season. He is still seeking his first TD of the year. Next week, the Chiefs host Dallas, and in his only career game against the Cowboys in 2005, Johnson rushed for 143 yards and three TDs. |
|
| Sep. 28 7:44 PM PT8:44 PM MT9:44 PM CT10:44 PM ET3:44 AM GMT11:44 AM 北京时间-Johnson rushed 19 times for 38 yards in the Chiefs' 34-14 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. Analysis: Though the Eagles' stout defense gets some of the credit for stopping him Sunday, Johnson has totaled 136 yards without a touchdown on 54 carries through Kansas City's first three games, all losses. His best days are clearly behind him, and if second-year back Jamaal Charles continues to be the more efficient ball carrier - he had 36 yards on six rushes Sunday - Johnson could be in danger of losing his starting job. |
|
| Sep. 23 7:33 AM PT8:33 AM MT9:33 AM CT10:33 AM ET3:33 PM GMT11:33 PM 北京时间-Johnson ran 24 times for 78 yards in the Chiefs' 13-10 loss to the Raiders on Sunday. Analysis: Johnson has totaled 98 yards and no touchdowns on 35 carries through the first two games of 2009, good for a career-low 2.8 yards-per-rush average. Don't expect a breakout game from him this week with the Chiefs visiting the Eagles on Sunday. |
|
| Sep. 14 12:59 PM PT1:59 PM MT2:59 PM CT3:59 PM ET8:59 PM GMT4:59 AM 北京时间-Johnson ran 11 times for 20 yards as the Chiefs lost 38-24 to the Ravens in their season opener Sunday. Analysis: This is the latest sign that Johnson's days as a No. 1 running back are behind him. He surpassed 100 yards on the ground three times in 12 games last season, but failed to reach 900 rushing yards for the second consecutive year after totaling more than 1,700 in 2005 and 2006. |
|
| Mar. 27 2:47 PM PT3:47 PM MT4:47 PM CT5:47 PM ET10:47 PM GMT6:47 AM 北京时间-Johnson has pleaded guilty to two counts of disturbing the peace for separate incidents involving women at nightclubs last year. A Kansas City Municipal Court judge sentenced Johnson to two years probation on Friday. His guilty plea will be removed from public record if he finishes the probation without further incidents. |
