Analysis: Allen leads the team with 12 1/2 sacks. He's played much of the season with a severely sprained shoulder and said he is hopeful he can play through this injury as well. Allen did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday this week, but did practice on a limited basis on Friday. |

Dec. 7 11:01 AM PT12:01 PM MT1:01 PM CT2:01 PM ET7:01 PM GMT3:01 AM 北京时间-Tempers erupted in the second quarter Sunday after Lions rookie offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus lunged from his knees to hit Allen on his left knee. Allen slowly got off the turf and angrily limped toward Cherilus, pointing and screaming, before teammate Ray Edwards held him back. Allen went to the sideline, where his left knee was examined. Analysis: Allen returned to play on Detroit's next possession.

Nov. 19 2:27 PM PT3:27 PM MT4:27 PM CT5:27 PM ET10:27 PM GMT6:27 AM 北京时间-The NFL told Vikings coach Brad Childress on Wednesday that Allen will not be suspended for a spate of late hits. Analysis: Instead, the league will fine Allen $25,000 and not punished further. Allen was summoned to the league office Tuesday and went with defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. He was fined $50,000 for two late hits earlier this month on Houston quarterback Matt Schaub, one that injured his knee. He was called for roughing the passer the next week against Green Bay after knocking down Aaron Rodgers.

Nov. 7 2:40 PM PT3:40 PM MT4:40 PM CT5:40 PM ET10:40 PM GMT6:40 AM 北京时间-Allen was in the starting lineup Sunday against Green Bay despite being listed as doubtful with a sprained shoulder. Analysis: Allen did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and did only light work on Friday while nursing the injury that occurred in the first half last week against Houston. Losing him would have been a big blow to one of the best defensive lines in football in a critical game as the Vikings (4-4) and Packers (4-4) kick off the second half of the season.

Apr. 23 7:00 AM PT8:00 AM MT9:00 AM CT10:00 AM ET3:00 PM GMT11:00 PM 北京时间-Allen was traded from Kansas City to the Minnesota Vikings in a blockbuster deal, making the Chiefs one of the major players in this weekend's NFL draft. Analysis: Allen, who had an NFL-best 15 1/2 sacks last season despite being suspended the first two games, is expected to sign a lucrative new contract with Minnesota. Defensive end was the Vikings' top priority after losing Kenechi Udeze to leukemia and with first-round pick Erasmus James coming off a third knee surgery. Allen will team with Pro Bowlers Kevin Williams and Pat Williams to form one of the league's most formidable defensive lines.

Apr. 17 12:12 PM PT1:12 PM MT2:12 PM CT3:12 PM ET8:12 PM GMT4:12 AM 北京时间-The Chiefs are in discussions with several teams about trading Allen, who led the NFL in sacks last season. Analysis: The Chiefs and Allen have been unable to work out a contract for almost a year. Allen, a 2008 Pro Bowl starter, had 15 1/2 sacks last season despite being suspended the first two games because of multiple DUI convictions. Though the franchise tag allows Allen to talk with other teams, any club attempting to sign him would have to compensate the Chiefs with two first-round draft picks.

Feb. 19 7:25 AM PT8:25 AM MT9:25 AM CT10:25 AM ET3:25 PM GMT11:25 PM 北京时间-The Chiefs put a franchise tag on defensive end Jared Allen, who led the NFL in sacks last season despite being suspended for the first two games. Analysis: Under terms of the collective bargaining agreement, Allen will make almost $9 million next season, the average of the five highest-paid defensive ends in the NFL. If another club signs Allen, it would have to compensate the Chiefs with two first-round draft picks. The Chiefs said Tuesday they had franchised Allen, who had 15 1/2 sacks last season. He was suspended the first two games because of multiple DUI convictions.
